Simula Research Laboratory is a Norwegian non-profit research organisation located in Oslo, Norway. Simula was founded in 2001 by the Norwegian government to conduct fundamental, long-term research within information and communication technology.

Simula's long experience in software engineering and high performance computing is a solid foundation for its current research in quantum computing.

Sigma2 AS has strategic responsibility for and manages the national e-infrastructure for large-scale data- and computational science in Norway. 

Sigma2 provides services for high-performance computing and data storage to individuals and groups involved in research and education at all Norwegian universities and colleges, and other publicly funded organizations and projects. Sigma2 also coordinates Norway's participation in international collaborations on e-infrastructure.

Oslo Metropolitan University is a state university in Oslo and Akershus in Norway. It has around 1,400 academic employees, around 20,000 students and around 800 administrative support staff.

The Quantum Hub at OsloMet coordinates several quantum computing initiatives, including teaching and research.

SINTEF is one of Europe’s largest independent research organisations, annually carrying out several thousand projects for customers large and small.

SINTEF leads the multi-institutional Gemini Center on Quantum Computing whose goal is to make Norway “quantum ready”.
